After working for eight years as a production art manager and photographer at a community newspaper, Abel established his own home studio in 2012 in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois.

As the principal photographer, Abel specializes in bringing to life the ideas and concepts of his corporate, editorial, and sports clients. His background as a photo editor, photojournalist, and researcher has shaped a thoughtful, fast-paced, and detail-driven approach to photography.

Abel is a team photographer for the professional Major League Soccer team Chicago Fire FC and the professional Major League Rugby team Chicago Hounds.

He is able to download, edit, and deliver images onsite when clients need immediate results. For larger events or overlapping schedules, Abel works with a trusted team of professional photographers who share his standards, style, and commitment to quality—ensuring clients are always covered, even when he is fully booked.

Abel received his degree in Liberal Arts from Columbia College Chicago.
He is available for local, national, and international assignments.
